The second regional working meeting of teams from Montenegro and Serbia was held between 4th and 6th November 2011, in Tivat, Montenegro.
The meeting was organized by Nansen Dialogue Centre Montenegro and Nansen Dialogue Centre Serbia, as a part of regional project Educational Institutions Implement Peace Education, funded by ifa Projekt zivik.
The representatives of the schools implementing PE programmes, ministries, institutes for education and NGOs from Montenegro and Serbia took part in the meeting.
During the first day of the meeting, teachers practitioners - peace educators, Ministry of Education counsellors, institutes for education counsellors and NGO representatives from both countries presented the activities implemented in the period July – October 2011 (with special attention devoted to the activities that took place as a part of the celebration of International Day of Peace). The work continued with the group work – the teams from both countries continued to elaborate the Action plans for the implementation of PE on 3 levels: school level, national level and regional level (cooperation between Montenegro and Serbia). The work was organised around two teams: the team of teachers-practitioners /peace educators who are working on the training materials for training of teachers, school departments and educational institutions’ representatives. The second team is working on the collection of articles and experiences related to the implementation of PE.
During the second day of the meeting, the teams focused more on defining of schedule, form and contents of the training programmes for the 2012, cross-border study visits during which the practitioners will exchange experiences and organise workshops for the colleagues from schools and institutions, as well as on the contents of the collection of articles. In the end of the meeting, concrete assignments, implementers and deadlines for the implementation were agreed.
